Fluffiness Meter: What's Your Worldview?

Posted on Feb 21st, 2006 by ~C4Chaos : (hyper)linker ~C4Chaos
Try out this questionnaire. (via Steve Pavlina). Here are my results. Are you fluffier? :)

You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.

Idealist = 100%?

-Close, but not quite.  For example, I don’t believe that “spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil.”  I don’t even really think our world is full of much turmoil.  I know I’m not.  They just didn’t ask specific enough questions.

-”you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time.”  That I definitely agree with and anyone can realize that emergence in this lifetime.

-”Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.” Nope.  Not true.  Things have never not been non-dual.  It’s just a matter of us getting to the point of transcendence and inclusion where we realize it.

Culutural Creative = 94%?  Probably.

Postmodernist = 63%?  I’d have thought higher

Existentialist = 56%

Fundamentalist = 38%

Romanticist = 38%

Modernist = 19%

Materialist = 0% -Should I be embarassed holding a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics?

How fluffy is that, Coolmel?

hahaha. fluffy enough my friend :)

i agree. a lot of the questions are “Yes, OR” instead of “Yes, AND”. still it’s good entertainment and tool for reflection. (see it got you out of your rabbit hole to express your own belief :)). and c’mon, it doesn’t even have integral view as category ;)

Whenever I have had the occasion to interview for either a teaching position or an therapist position the powers-that-be never fail to ask “What, would you say, is you theroretical philosophy?” My answer is always “Existential Constructivist” and then I go on to explain how I believe that much of an individual’s discomfort stems from existential issues such as isolation, meaning, fear, etc. and that at the core of this there is a lot of personal meaning-making.

Now I can forgo the schpiel and simply hand them a print out of this nifty graph! I’ll let you know how that goes over…

For another time-sucking fun quize, hop over to my blog and take a spin on the belief-o-matic!
